The Q-Step team are busy preparing a session as part of the University's Festival of Arts and Humanities.

The session is aimed at Year 11 & 12 secondary school students and will explore dream jobs and factors that affect job satisfaction and enjoyment at work.

Using research, secondary datasets and interactive tasks, this quantitative-based session will look at measures of job satisfaction and their meaning. Pupils will consider their own work aspirations and their ideal job, and will discuss and rank aspects of these jobs that are important to them. They will then design some alternative measures of job satisfaction.

The event will take place in LIDA's data lab where students will use secondary datasets, notably the Workplace Employment Relations Survey and the European Working Conditions Survey datasets.
